Hi, I’m TheoCalder, a custom pet portrait artist specializing in acrylic paintings. I grew up with a painter as my mother, so I was surrounded by art from an early age and explored many mediums, including colored pencil, oil painting, and watercolor.. Today, I create heartfelt, one-of-a-kind portraits that capture the unique personality of each beloved pet.

Four simple steps to place your custom order

  1. 1 Booking Deposit: Reserve your spot with a $100 non-refundable deposit. This deposit reserves your place in my schedule and sets aside dedicated time for your portrait. Once your spot is booked, I may decline other portrait projects so I can give your piece the time and attention it deserves. For this reason, the deposit is non-refundable.
  2. 2 After you book your spot, I’ll send you an email. You can simply reply to that email with photos of your pet. Photos from different angles are helpful, but they don’t need to be perfect. I’ve worked with all kinds of photos and references, including very low-quality ones. I understand that it’s not always possible to provide clear photos of a beloved pet who has passed away, and I have experience working with many different situations. If needed, I’ll guide you through the process. You’re also welcome to share anything special about your pet’s personality or story to make the portrait even more meaningful.
  3. 3 When it’s your turn, I’ll create a sketch based on your photos. This step helps make sure we’re aligned on your vision and gives you a clear idea of how the final portrait will look.
  4. 4 Full Payment: After you approve the sketch, the remaining balance is due. Once full payment is received, I’ll begin creating the original physical portrait. I approach each piece with great care and attention to detail, so the final portrait becomes a meaningful and lasting work of art.

Frequently asked questions

What materials do you use?

I use acrylic paint on 100% cotton canvas. For shipping, I remove the wooden stretcher frame and carefully roll the canvas into a sturdy tube to keep it well protected and help ensure it arrives safely.
When will I receive my painting?

Once you approve the sketch, I’ll complete the painting and ship it within 2–4 weeks. After it ships, delivery usually takes about one week.

All prices on the website include worldwide shipping, so there are no additional shipping fees.
What is the return policy?

Because each portrait is custom-made, custom orders are not eligible for returns.
